This was the title of a Simpson’s episode, where the town of Springfield decided to have a day/festival where you could do what you feel like day. Just try and imagine how practical this would’ve been? The day ended with disaster because most of the facilities didn’t work as the workers decided, “I didn’t feel like doing my job”.
In 2 Thessalonians 3, Paul addresses the members whom are idle and using Jesus’ return as an excuse to be lazy. Perhaps they didn’t feel like doing work?
As we await the return of our Lord Jesus, can we just do what we feel like? Or does Jesus have expectations for us? Last week John Ryan spoke about ‘Standing firm in Jesus’. So what does it look like to stand firm? How do we endure until Jesus returns? By engaging in 2 Thessalonians 3, we’ll understand further that we stand firm through Prayer, Service and Peace.
