Rejection can sometimes take place when there is a difference of opinion.
Rejection can be painful, distressing and upsetting. No one likes to be rejected.
Yet, sometimes rejection is necessary. We ought to reject hatred, greed, laziness, unforgiveness and the like. They are attributes contrary to God’s values. Sometimes that rejection will offend others.
So, it should not surprise us that Christians will be rejected because of who we are and what we believe.
Jesus was often rejected because He stood up for the truth, and when faced with the truth, when faced with their own sinfulness, people will seek to get rid of Jesus from their lives.
Rather than rejecting Jesus, we ought to be rejecting the sin in our lives.
Matt 21:42 “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;”
