Sheep will not lie down when they are hungry, nor will they drink from fast flowing streams. Sometimes the Eastern shepherd will temporarily dam up a stream so the sheep can quench their thirst.

The Shepherd will gently lead his sheep to the place of feed and water by his voice and because the sheep know his voice, they will trust the shepherd’s leading.

Similarly, we need to trust the voice of God and relax in his leading. It’s a choice we have to make daily. Busyness is not a virtue if we are busy for the wrong purpose. Listen to His voice and let Him gently lead you to where you need to be.

Psalm 23:2 “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.”
