Come and See

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.         John 1:45-46

When Jesus knew two of John the Baptist's disciples were inquisitive of Him, Jesus’ response was “Come and See”. When Nathanael doubted about following Jesus, Philip used the same words of Jesus. “Come and See” who this Jesus really is. Later on Jesus would invite other would be followers: Come and drink (7:37), Come and eat (21:12).

“Come” is the great invitation of God’s grace.

Be thankful that we have Come into God’s grace and presence through the Lord Jesus, but pray that we will have the passion to offer the invitation to those who have not come to Christ yet.

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.         John 1:45-46

Coming closer to Christmas we have the opportunity to say to our friends and family:
