As part of our process of integrating into the Camden community, three of my children have recently started attending GFS and Meteors on a Wednesday night. While a little nervous to try another new thing, I am happy to report they absolutely love it and look forward to going every week. It’s quite a treat for them to do something after dinner on a school night! The boys particularly loved shooting each other with Nerf guns and most recently, putt putt golf. My daughter is loving the games, craft and meeting new friends.
I wanted to say a big thank you to the leaders of those ministries who, like many other community groups, have felt the impact of COVID. I was so encouraged to see so many hard-working volunteers provide a warm welcome to my children, and anyone who comes along. Their dedication and love is inspiring.
Do you have a son in primary school or daughter in primary or high school that might be interested in joining up? I can guarantee they will have a ball and learn more about Jesus too. Why not give it a try and encourage your child to invite a friend along too. If you’re interested, please get in touch with Max and Betty for Meteors or Neidra for GFS. Or, you could just contact our kids and youth pastor Matt Carmody (email@example.com) for more information. Meteors is on from 6.15pm each Wednesday during school term, while GFS starts at 6.30pm Wednesdays during school term.
