Memories, light the corners of my mind...

“In the night Lord, I remember your name, that I may keep your law. This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.” Psalm 119:55-56.

To remember special moments, people often take a photo. I’m sure there is a variety of reasons people take photos. When I think about taking photos, I think about trying to capture a moment forever, and the importance of remembering it, whether it was my wedding day or a family get together. As we continue our series on Psalm 119 and the role and purpose of God’s word in our life, today’s passage greets us with the writer’s desire on the importance of remembering God’s word.

Remembering God’s goodness through scriptures and in your personal life is important, but is it alright to remember and do nothing about it? It’s like taking a photo, a moment we want to remember and never looking at, framing it or sharing it. Then what was the point of taking the photo in the first place? As we look at God’s word, it’s important not only to remember but also to respond to God with our whole life.

“In the night Lord, I remember your name, that I may keep your law. This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.” Psalm 119:55-56.

Thanks, God Bless
