We are in the world but not of it.
The apostle Paul pulls no punches as to people’s destiny and responsibilities.
The people who are of this world are citizens of earth, they are consumed with the things of this life. Their destiny is destruction.
Yet if we are Christians, we are people who are citizens of Heaven and our destiny is heaven.
If that is the case then we should set our minds on heavenly things, not earthly things.
The things of this life should not take precedence over sharing in Jesus’ Mission and living Holy lives. They are ways to keep our minds on heavenly things.
Phil 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
