The Challenge of Lordship

Rom 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice … Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

The challenge of Lordship is to live a life of worship (giving God his true worth) by giving our body, mind and spirit. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, as the temple was for Israel’s worship, our whole lives are to be one of sacrificial worship. Our minds are to be transformed from the Word of God and the Holy Spirit and our wills transformed when we surrender to God in prayer.

Jesus is the perfect example of a living sacrifice, because he died as a sacrifice, in obedience to his Father’s will and rose again from the dead.

Living under the Lordship of Christ is commitment to live sacrificially for Jesus and serve Him to see His will be done. It’s not about me, but all about Him.

Rom 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice … Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
