Last weekend, the church family got together for the House Party at Wedderburn. It was a great time of fellowship and hearing God’s word together.
Some of the highlights I found were - fellowshipping together, with music, food, games and God’s word. Special shout out to Kay and Anthony Hudson, who ran the surprisingly competitive activities.
Peter Jensen, did two great talks, in which he explored being chosen and glorified in God. He was talking about what our “golden years” might look like - retirement, a big holiday, or any big pay-off. Although, these are great things, what we should look forward to, is living in God’s kingdom with God’s family, in our new bodies that will be glorified. He encouraged us to grasp the weight of glory, that God will enable in us in the last days. Looking forward to returning home, to God’s kingdom, and being transformed is more than what any “golden years” product can offer.
I encourage you to listen to the sermons, which can be found on cds or the church website.
Lastly, seeing members, of our church family get baptised, declare their commitment and faith in Christ, was a powerful testimony of the Gospel, and how Jesus has changed, and will continue to change the lives, of his believers, forever.
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:30.
